End of Lease Cleaning Checklist

Need to do an end-of-lease clean? We have the quintessential check list!

Interior Cleaning:

• Clean and empty all wardrobes, cupboards, shelving, and drawers

• Wipe all switches and door handles

• Clean all window ledge, skirting boards, architraves

• Clean windows, doors, sliding doors, and fly screens inside and out

• Clear door and window tracks

• Clean ceiling fan blades and lights and wipe down air conditions, cleaning all vents and filters

• Remove all dust and cobwebs

• Clean all venetian or vertical blinds and wash or dry clean curtains (and rehang)

• Remove all traces of cigarette, pet, and other odours

• If the furniture was provided, please clean and place it in its original position

Kitchen Cleaning

• Clean oven walls, racks, grill, and leave cleaned trays inside.

• Remove stovetop and clean

• Wash and clean rangehood, including filters, and ensure overhead light is working

• Clean dishwasher including rubbers, filters, and door.

• Remove all food and debris from plugs, taps, and sinkholes

• Wash and clean all surface areas

• Clean the inside and outside of all cupboards

• Remove all food and clean inside fridge and freezer

• Move and clean behind fridge, dishwasher, and microwave

Bathroom & Laundry Cleaning

• Disinfect and clean all baths, showers, screens, basins, toilets, and mirrors

• Ensure facilities and fixtures are free of soap residue and mildew

• Wash all tiles, benchtops and other surface areas

• Remove grout, mildew, and mould from tiles, ceilings, and walls

• Clean and polish towel rails and toilet roll holders

Walls & Floors Cleaning

• Spot clean any and all marks on walls

• Vacuum and steam clean all carpets

• Vacuum and clean all sliding doors and window tracks

• Sweep, vacuum, and mop all floorboards and tiled floors

• Clean all wall and floor areas situated behind appliances

Exterior Cleaning

• Clean all outdoor living areas such as veranda, patio including all outdoor furniture and BBQ area

• Remove all cobwebs and dust from walls, window sills, and eaves

• Mow lawn, trim lawn edges, weed gardens, and sweep any paths

• Remove or rectify any and all mess created by pets

• Clean the pool and its filter

• Ensure outdoor lighting is cleaned and working

• Sweep garage and driveway and ensure garage door or gate is working

• Remove all rubbish including emptying and washing out household bins
